OUR BELIEFS

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully human at the same time, who became like us in order to rescue us from sin and death.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is active in the world today showing the world their sin, bringing the new birth to those who repent, setting the believer apart from sin and to God for holy living, and guiding us into all truth as it is in Jesus.

We believe the Bible is the written Word of God, giving us all we need to know concerning how to be saved and how to live holy lives that please the Lord.

We believe everyone is a sinner both by birth and by choice--so everyone needs God's forgiveness and cleansing.  We also believe that Christ provided the salvation of the whole world by His death and resurrection.

We believe God has enabled us to turn from sin, but does not force us to do so.  Each person must be drawn by His Spirit, repent, turn away from sin, and trust Christ alone to save.

We believe that when we turn from sin and trust Christ, all our past sins are erased and we are born again into God's family.  We further believe that after this experience, we need the complete control of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.  When a believer commits to Him, He cleanses our hearts, fills them with total love, and gives the power to live with victory and in obedience to Him.

We believe in the Church Universal that is made up of all persons whose sins have been forgiven and whose name have been written in heaven.  All believers need the community of faith for support, growth, and holy Christian fellowship.

We believe Christ gave us the gifts of water baptism and Holy Communion that honor Him and nourish us.  

We believe God heals the sick.

We believe Jesus Christ will return.  Everyone will face the judgment of God with rewards or punishments.
